Welcome to Rosnaut, the vibrant and visionary club from the ECE Department of M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, where the engineering brilliance of robotics meets the limitless imagination of astronautics. The name itself tells our story: “Ro” from Robotics and “naut” from Astronaut — a fusion of intelligent machines, futuristic exploration, innovation, and cosmic curiosity.

This page is currently in launch mode and still being crafted, but the energy has already ignited. Rosnaut is being designed as a platform where builders, dreamers, coders, electronics enthusiasts, space lovers, and curious innovators can come together to explore automation, embedded systems, robotics, control systems, sensors, drones, rover concepts, intelligent machines, and the science-inspired excitement of space technology.

Rosnaut is imagined as more than just a college club. It is a creative ecosystem where science fiction inspiration meets hands-on engineering, where imagination becomes circuits, code, prototypes, mechanisms, and mission concepts. It celebrates the spirit of collaborative learning and futuristic problem solving in a way that is exciting, student-driven, and full of possibility.

From beginner bot projects to advanced autonomous systems, Rosnaut aims to explore the exciting universe of robotics through sensors, motors, microcontrollers, control logic, embedded programming, AI-assisted systems, and real-world engineering challenges.

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Rosnaut is to inspire students to think beyond boundaries — to build systems that move, sense, decide, and respond; and to dream about technologies that could one day navigate challenging terrains, explore unknown environments, and support the future of scientific discovery. Robotics gives us the power to engineer intelligence in motion, while astronautics gives us the courage to imagine engineering beyond the horizon.

The Build Zone is where the Rosnaut imagination turns practical. The club aims to create an environment where students can experiment across layers of engineering — from circuit design and microcontroller programming to robotic mobility, sensing systems, machine intelligence, mission planning, and futuristic concept development.

Bot Prototyping

Line followers, maze solvers, obstacle avoiders, smart vehicles, robotic arms, exploratory bots, and challenge-based mini projects can become stepping stones for larger and more complex systems.
